If it’s not made right that’s exactly what we will do twice a year from now on. If we wanted to basically have a place to just sleep we would’ve went to a days in for $100 a night instead of staying here where we thought we would enjoy it. We also enjoy having a pool of which the pool was freezing cold this visit and the kids didn’t even want to swim in it. Also the breakfast buffet relieves us from having to go somewhere for breakfast and in the past the food was excellent. The reason we stay here is because we come in a group and the sofa bed additional to the two queens is accommodating to our whole group. If something isn’t done to fix this we will never return. We have stayed at this specific hotel many times before Covid and we LOVED it. My breast milk had to be thrown out because of it resulting in a barely fed infant all weekend as I can only make enough to feed her once and knew I couldn’t store any. The facet on the kitchen sink sprayed you when turning it on along with spraying the wall. We had to go to Walmart for a mattress topper. The did switch it out the following day for a mattress slightly better. We’re told they couldn’t switch a mattress until morning and my mother had to sleep on the sofa bed regardless of comfort. Asked for a mattress to be switched as it was late and we didn’t want to move yet again Because we had a lot of bags and a young child and infant that were exhausted. The second rooms sofa bed was nothing but springs. Refrigerator was leaking onto the floor and walls had splatter all over them in plain sight. Upon pulling it out we discovered tons of candy and dirt on mattress and sheets. When entering first room and pulling out the sofa bed my mom was sliced open by glass down inside couch where mattress was. These are not great times with Covid issues and the Embassy Suites has done well.… Overall, great hotel and they did earn my 5-stars. Perhaps they could have provided that great IPA to me for an up-charge. They had two other beers available, but not for happy hour. The only other item I would have wished for would be a better beer choice for the free happy hour. I would think that when you have guests, you have the ability to fix what they find that needs fixing. The toilet roll holder also fell off the wall and the lack of maintenance hours kept that from being repaired as well. I was told that their maintenance person does not have hours on the weekend. I reported this Friday about 4pm and it was never reset/fixed for our two-day stay. There are a couple items that could have improved our stay. We were well served and had great dinners in the restaurant. The restaurant was open but not used much. Great breakfast, and evening drinks and food. So we switched to the Embassy which was in full swing. We usually stay at the Marriott Hotel a block away for conventions, but Marriott had closed the restaurant, shut down the morning coffee service and even removed the extra food from their M-Club. That soundproofing did not help when the fire alarm went off twice at about 2am Friday night - or three times at about 6:30am Saturday morning. When you examine the window glass, it looks like they have double pain glass - then a space and then another double pain glass. They do say they have soundproof room and they do. You also do not hear neighbors while in your room. In the parking lot, you are very aware of the jets landing and taking off nearly overhead, but not in your room.
